Madam Minister ( Part Three )

Dr Monteseri's Decision

He lifted Nene to her bed, cleaned the cut wrist. and lay a plaster on it.
He gave her ORT.
“Ekaite, wash this towel and get more warm water.”
“Yes Sir,” she said.
“Massage her body. She is feverish. I will look for drugs.”
“Yes Sir,” she said, and hurried out with the towel in the bowl.
He picked the razor and the slashed doll, and walked downstairs.
“Chatie, put these away.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“I’ll be back in a jiffy.”

Madam Minister (Part Two)

Madam Minister (Part Two)

The gates rolled on the metal rail. Then clanked shut.  The sound of Madam Minister’s car  receded into the distance. Dr Monteseri scurried upstairs. Within minutes, he had dressed up in a light blue denim jacket and trousers and canvasses, and was rushing down stairs. He passed through the lounge into the dining room.

Sirens pierced and blasted the cool morning air. Convoy of black jeeps swerved into the drive way. And halted. Her secretaries alighted.  And headed to toward the lobby.

Double Portion of Elisha, A Leprosy for Gehazi

Double Portion of Elisha, a Leprosy for Gehazi

Gehazi was an infamous man of God. He was remembered for nothing other than leprosy. He was the right hand man of Elisha, the man of God with the double portions of Elijah the prophet. If Elisha inherited double portions from Elijah, then Gehazi would have quadruple portions from Elisha. He would have done greatest work ever, if I am to guess.  Why then did he inherit leprosy and lost a place of history?

Pastor Daniels

Pastor Daniels story on 'the wealthy wisest king lost everything he had,' was great. I was spellbound on the pew. I urge you to have a read. It may touch you the way it hit me.

behind the Mask

Behind the Mask

The campus erupted into a week of mayhem as a cult struck. Who was pulling the strings behind the scene? Was it the police or the cult boys and girls? Was it an erudite professor or a distance god in a distance community. Who was behind the mask? What was the motive?

She touched and pushed a button. A shelf popped out. She withdrew a bundle and placed it on top of the table. It was a paper box. Time has come …to confront this threat, to bite off this monster’s head. She must fight back, she thought.

daughter of Jezeebel

A swing of hips heralds her arrival.
Citizen of Babylon recognized at a glance.
A decoy of monstrous satanic viper,
Beset by orgies of sinful revolution.
Her mission same as the devil’s.

“You can’t do that,” whispered Constansia, his wife.
He lifted his dangling robes to his laps, and sat up.
“What then should I do,” he shouted. And stood up immediately, looking tired, and very angry.
“Hmmm,” she sobbed. And covered her mouth. Her eyes filled with tears.
Since they got married in Rome ten years ago, he had never raised his voice this high, she thought. Why must he now?

broken honour

                                    the broken honour

Ozo Ayota was a highly honored man in his community...drunk with power and greed to have it all. Women and seizing farms of people were his best past time. By royalty, he was to become the next chief justice of his community. But fate could be unkind and ruthless...and upturn events whenever it liked... What happened to Ayota in a gathering was sudden and unfortunate. The eyes had never seen nor ears heard of it in recent time. The lion that sport at noon stooped ...and stumbled over...and fell face down, smashing into pieces his staff of honour...wriggling on the ground like a worm in a pool of salt.

What tone are you playing?

Tone and Mood

What is your tone? What is their mood?
Is it high or low? Should it be sympathetic or unrepentant?  May be a tongue in the cheek...or ...happy or sad...comedy or tragedy. May be you want a call for an immediate revolution or a college parade.... Whatever you wish to relay, you must put it on paper or any other media and sing it to yourself. It ought to be a story, read first by you. Once the audience hears the story, it becomes you.

Theme...what do want to write on?

doodle... poodle!

Do you want to write your story now? You want to edit your book today. What is your pushing thought? What is the issue? Is it nagging? Then up your sleeves.  Push that thought to the brow. It is the main idea. Call it theme. Start that writing. Give it a title. doodle... poodle!
