daughter of Jezeebel

daughter of Jezeebel
by Joy Orisah

A swing of hips heralds her arrival.
Citizen of Babylon recognized at a glance.
A decoy of monstrous satanic viper,
Beset by orgies of sinful revolution.
Her mission same as the devil’s.

Her hair a revolting shades of colour,
Her face, a paint factory explosion.
Shiny, sleek and robust skin.
Mixed bag of large-scale jewelry,
And lifted torn clothes.

On a pair of platform she walks about,
Like hawk surveying unsuspecting chicks.
Her eyes burning like hell fire,
And breathe as cool as Himalaya’s top.
She laughs the hard earth cracks.

In masked orchestrated ploy,
Her claws embrace their victims,
Like a constrictor its prey.
Another life taken too soon,
Another murder…another funeral.
