Tone and Mood
What is your tone? What is their mood?
Is it high or low? Should it be sympathetic or unrepentant? May be a tongue in the cheek...or ...happy or sad...comedy or tragedy. May be you want a call for an immediate revolution or a college parade.... Whatever you wish to relay, you must put it on paper or any other media and sing it to yourself. It ought to be a story, read first by you. Once the audience hears the story, it becomes you.
Therefore, the important questions ought to be answered by you.
1. How would you feel about the story at the end of the show?
2. How would your audience feel about it?
For example, would they feel a happy ending or feel... a mocking scheme to rubbish giant strides? Remember we are all passers-by. What we write and act on today is a read tomorrow...is a story of you.
