Madam Minister: At the Sprite Shopping Mall (Part 9)

At the Sprite Shopping Mall Madam Minister   (Part Nine)
What happened to Kate at the shopping mall? Did she lose her life?

The taxi stopped by the gates. Kate alighted. And went into the premises. It was a big complex, housing stores, banks, restaurants, gym, and rest rooms.

She rushed into the shopping mall, a large room, five departments, stacked up with things. People were walking about, pushing their carts around. There was a long queue before the sales counter. She looked at their carts. Then sighed. They were half empty. The economy is flogging and biting everyone hard. Most people were loafing around, window shopping …where are they, she thought, moving toward the next-door restaurant.

Madam Minister (Part 8 )
The Man in Black Hat.
(Is Dr. Monteseri shadowing...trailing his wife?)
Kate ran off. She climbed the stairs hurriedly. And came to Ndi’s room. Whiffs of expensive perfumes hung in the air. Beddings were strewn about on the floor. She opened the large wardrobe. Ndi pajamas were dumped on the floor. There was a gap on the line where clothes were removed. She had dressed up quickly. Why the hurry, she thought. Then she saw heaps of hand bags. On top was a pocket-sized golden purse. She picked it up. And opened it. It was stuffed with foreign currencies, a miniature mirror and a yellow paper on which was a post in pink ink. Andrew, 5 Park Lane, East Estate.

Madam Minister: At Breakfast

Ndi, Kate, Isabel, Nene, and Dr. Soso Monteseri at Breakfast ( Part 7 )

The phone rang. She stretched, threw off the blankets, and grabbed it.
“How are you doing?”
“Still on bed. You woke me up.”
“Sorry, dear. I wanted to know you got home early.”
“Oh! Nice of you.”
“Seeing you today?”
She looked at the time on the dial.
“For good sake, Andrew. This is 7:20 a.m.”
“Oh! Good morning my royal highness.”
She laughed. Then said, “Tricky old fool.”
The UK diplomat laughed too.
“I better be,” he said.

Madam Minister (part 6)

Ekaite had been part of this escapade for months. She knew what would happen. Waiting on her Madam to jaunt, and then would tiptoe back into the room to clean up any mess.
She got there on time. And pulled Madam up to the bed. Covered her in blankets. And began tidying up.

Then his car veered into a screeching reverse, skirted round a turf, and halted. Then revved, and zoomed off.

Madam Minister (Part Four)

Where was Madam Minister?
What happened to her husband, Dr Monteseri (Part Four)

Her phone began to ring. Vibrating, it  jostled across the tea table. She caught it, put it off, and threw it into her purse.
Then she smiled at her visitor.
“I’m sorry for the interruption. Do you need more tea,” she asked.

Madam Minister ( Part Three )

Dr Monteseri's Decision

He lifted Nene to her bed, cleaned the cut wrist. and lay a plaster on it.
He gave her ORT.
“Ekaite, wash this towel and get more warm water.”
“Yes Sir,” she said.
“Massage her body. She is feverish. I will look for drugs.”
“Yes Sir,” she said, and hurried out with the towel in the bowl.
He picked the razor and the slashed doll, and walked downstairs.
“Chatie, put these away.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“I’ll be back in a jiffy.”
